SAFARI IN STYLE THE NEXT TIME YOU VISIT SOUTH AFRICA...AT SABI SABI EARTH LODGE...

Sabi Sabi’s Earth Lodge Gets a New, Sustainable Style

JULY 06, 2011

Sabi Sabi’s South African game lodge Earth Lodge has been renovated in a style that celebrates its natural surroundings, both in style and by adding several new activities for its guests.
Timed with its 10th anniversary, the new design employs many local, natural materials like sisal, raw ivory, and wood.
Geoffrey Armstrong, longtime artist and designer for Earth Lodge, translated this theme into chandeliers composed of twigs and branches painted in metallic hues that hang throughout the resort, and the lodge is adorned with his functional objets d’art made from salvaged trees.
Among Armstrong’s standout designs is a carved tree headboard, which took him seven months to create, that is in the Amber Presidential Suite.
The carved tree appears to be growing from the head of the bed; its wrought limbs resemble flames extending to the ceiling.

At Earth Lodge’s new day bar, guests can watch wildlife while having lunch at …

The Tel Aviv District Court today extended Agrexco's stay of proceedings by two weeks., The ruling comes a day after the Ministry of Finance refused to provide interim financing of €1.75 million to keep the company afloat and offered only €500,000.

However, Arko Holdings Ltd. (TASE: ARKO), controlled by Arie Kotler, has offered to loan Agrexco €1.25 million to allow the exporter of fresh agricultural produce to keep operating as a "going concern." Kotler wants to compete for the acquisition of control of Agrexco.

MARKET CHATTER: July 06, 2011

By Will Cavan
Executive Director
International Mango Organization (IMO)
Vista, California

July 06, 2011

Expect volume to drop as the last of the Tommy Atkins from Mexico have been shipped.

Unfortunately, buyers have become acustomed to cheap mangoes and the "Buy Local" craze, has a focus on Stone fruit from around USA taking the focus off of mangoes.

Either way, pricing should begin to get closer to the $3.00 - 4.00 (FOB) range in the next few weeks as larger sizing becomes available with the Kent variety closing out the month of July with Keitt variety taking over in August.

The rains in Nayarit have basically shut down the deal and expect Sinaloa to be the only state shipping out of Mexico within the next week or two at the latest.

The big question mark that has been dogging importers all season long is about to be answered in about three weeks as Los Mochis comes on line.

IMO sources are forecasting that volume will be normal at the tail end of the Mexican deal.

California should be…
