500 mil personas afectadas por el cólera traído por las misiones de ONU, ­de los cuales 7 mil han muerto­ y cientos de miles aún sin techo es parte de la crítica situación que atraviesa ese país desde hace años

Desde el terremoto de enero de 2010 en Haití las esculturas de héroes de la independencia, que antes se exhibían con orgullo en la plaza más importante de Puerto Príncipe, Champ de Mars, son testigos ahora de la profanación del patrimonio de la ciudad y de sus habitantes.

Antes de la tragedia de hace dos años en Champ de Mars era común visitar la plaza y alimentar a una inmensa cantidad de palomas que siempre estaban allí buscando su alimento, nada distinto a cualquier plaza del mundo. Ahora ya las palomas no exi…

"Obama es un ignorante"

El canciller Nicolás Maduro dijo que el presidente de EEUU heredó de su antecesor, George W. Bush, "la ignorancia, el cinismo y la perversión" sobre lo que sucede en el continente y reiteró que hay un plan de la ultraderecha para crear las condiciones necesarias y "desconocer la gran victoria" de Chávez en las elecciones del 7 de octubre







El canciller venezolano Nicolás Maduro dijo este sábado que el presidente de EEUU, Barack Obama, heredó de su antecesor, George W. Bush, "la ignorancia, el cinismo y la perversión" sobre lo que sucede en el continente.



"Obama ignora la realidad de nuestro país. Sus asesores lo mantienen ignorante de la realidad de América Latina y del Caribe, y particularmente de Venezuela; actúa con un gran cinismo, una gran perversión. Ha heredado, lamentablemente, después de haber pasado tres años en el Gobierno, el cinismo y la perversión" de Bush, aseguró Maduro en Cartagena …

Postseason movement in Peru looks to benefit FRESKA PRODUCE.











Earlier this month, IMO reported on discussions between CAMPOSOL and SUNSHINE EXPORT for the acquisition of the SUNSHINE EXPORT OPERATIONS.


No official word has materialized to date.













Today, the IMO can report that FRESKA PRODUCE's in country partner, PERUVIAN QUALITY FRUIT (PQF) has leased the D'AGRO Packing facility for a 5 year period.




The D'AGRO facility is where major shippers packed fruit for the USA market, among them COAST TROPICAL and L&M COMPANIES.


PQF has emabarked on some strategic moves during the offseason.


PQF through outside funsing has purchased three separate mango plantation. Two with 80 hectares each of mango and one smaller plot with 50 hectares of mango in production.


In addition, the AGROPACKING Hot Water Shed is up for sale and PQF is in the hunt.

The dozen Secret Service agents sent home after a prostitution scandal in Colombia were busted after at least one of them refused to pay a hooker, sources said.

The scandal — a black eye for the United States’ reputation abroad — was revealed Friday before President Obama arrived in Cartagena for the Summit of the Americas.

The 12 agents were part of an advance team meant to secure a local hotel before the summit began — yet their attention apparently turned to taking advantage of Colombia’s policy of legal prostitution.


“They had arranged to have a bunch of prostitutes come by and one of the agents refused to pay a prostitute,” said author Ronal…
