National Hurricane Center has Tropical Storm Debbie skirting Louisiana, heading toward Texas ...

MIAMI —(AP) Tropical Storm Debby formed in the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday, interfering with oil and gas production and putting officials on alert for flooding and strong winds from Texas to Florida.

At least one tornado linked to the storm touched down in southwest Florida, but no injuries were reported. The storm's outer rain bands were pounding parts of the state.

Debby was about 220 miles (354 kilometers) south of the mouth of the Mississippi River, with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph (80 kph).

The center of Debby was expected to linger over the northern Gulf during the next few days with no landfall in the immediate forecast.

While the storm's track is far from certain, the National Hurricane Center has Debby skirting the Louisiana coast and heading west toward Texas. Some strengthening is expected over the next couple of days.

Forecasters warned of up to six inches of rain along the coast, with isolated amounts of 10 inches.

Haciendo flamear banderas rojas y gualdas, miles de españoles salieron a festejar el triunfo ante Francia por 2-0 en cuartos de final de la Eurocopa de fútbol, tras el encuentro disputado este sábado en Varsovia.




Con doblete de Xabi Alonso (19 y 90+1 de tiro penal), la 'Roja' se sacó una espina al vencer a los "Bleus" por primera vez en un partido con carácter oficial, es decir, de los que duelen.






En medio de las celebraciones, Ricardo, de 20 años, comentó con orgullo: "ha sido un partido espectacular. Estamos en semifinales y hemos vencido a Francia, nuestros grandes rivales".









Por su parte, 'Nacho', de 15 años, dijo, muy optimista: "estoy orgulloso. Somos campeones. Estamos en semifinales y vamos a ganar".
