Winter Park, Florida

Brazil has shipped 760 containers to the North American market so far this season through week 40 (This week) of 2012.

This represents 9% less volume than the preseason projection.

Volume peaked last week (39) with 111 containers actually shipped versus an original projection of 112 containers.

This week (40) Brazil shipped 103 containers versus a projected 107 on vessel CAP LAJA.

The next three weeks are projected to reduce volume dramatically with 70 containers forecast for week 41 and 54 containers forecast for week 42 and finally another drop in estimated volume to 46 containers for week 46.

This could create a shortage in the North American market through the end of the year until volume out of Ecuador collides with Peruvian volume in the beginning of 2013.
