Microsoft’s security team is killing it: Not one product on Kaspersky’s top 10 vulnerabilities list ...

Security firm Kaspersky has released its latest IT Threat Evolution report. There were some interesting findings in the report, as always, but the most interesting thing that stuck out was all the way at the bottom:

Microsoft products no longer feature among the Top 10 products with vulnerabilities. This is because the automatic updates mechanism has now been well developed in recent versions of Windows OS.

I can hear the Microsoft haters crying foul all across the globe. Yet it’s true. Here are the top 10 vulnerabilities for the third quarter, according to Kaspersky:

Oracle Java Multiple Vulnerabilities: DoS-attack (Gain access to a system and execute arbitrary code with local user privileges) and Cross-Site Scripting (Gain access to sensitive data). Highly Critical.
Oracle Java Three Vulnerabilities: Gain access to a system and execute arbitrary code with local user privileges. Extremely Critical.

The 14th National Mango Congress 2012 will focus on efficient and sustainable production as well as increased investment in mango tourism. The annual event will be held on November 14-16 at the JCentre Mall Convention Hall, A.S. Fortuna St., Mandaue City in Cebu.

The congress will address two serious concerns, according to Virginia de la Fuente, president of the Philippine Mango Industry Foundation, Inc. (PMIFI) which is collaborating with other agencies to stage the event.

The first concern is the fast dwindling volume of mango production in the country. For instance, in 2007, the total production amounted to 1.028 billion kilos whereas in 2011 the volume…

WILLIAM WATSON (NMB) STICKS FOOT IN MOUTH (AGAIN) ...

IMO NOTE:

Is William Watson the "Joe Biden" of the Mango Industry?

A recent newsletter to the entire mango industry by National Mango Board Executive Director William Watson labelled mangoes as "High Risk" and stated that Food & Drug Administration (FDA) inspections would be taking longer as a result.

According to Watson this would be "The new norm".

All of this is news to the FDA and once again proves how out of touch "Slick Willie" Watson is with the mango industry that he claims to represent.

Here is the updated news piece from the Packer Newspaper:
