King Mango Strut Parade: It's that time of year again, when we bid adieu to and poke fun at the weird and wacky happenings of 2013.
For some good laughs, head to the King Mango Strut Parade, one of the strangest gatherings in South Florida, where you'll find kooky locals parody this year's biggest headlines.
There's no official list of who will be subjected to this year's fodder, but past parades have offered plenty of UFO sightings and comical skits about Gov. Rick Scott, Occupy Wall Street and global warming.
The parade will begin 2 p.m. Sunday at Commodore Plaza, 3200 Grand Ave., in Coconut Grove. Bring your lawn chairs and arrive a few hours early for a good spot. For a list of the parade route, go to kingmangostrut.org.
